Generac Generators — Sales, Installation, Service & Monitoring
Poulin Électrique Inc is a certified Generac dealer based in Saint-Lazare. We sell, install, maintain and monitor Generac generators for homes across Vaudreuil-Soulanges, the West Island and the Valleyfield–Beauharnois corridor. One local team handles everything: the generator, the electrical work, and the follow-up for years afterward.
Annual maintenance and repairs on any Generac system, whether we installed it or not!
Permanent, automatic backup power for the whole home or just the essentials. Installed start to finish by our licensed electricians and certified Generac technicians.
Generac portables for cottages, job sites and short outages, with the safe home connection installed by an electrician.
Your generator connected to our dealer monitoring platform, so problems get spotted before the next outage does. We offer 24/7 monitoring service.
Why homeowners choose Poulin for Generac
-
We're based in Saint-Lazare, not the other side of the island. Same seasons, same storms, same Hydro-Québec grid as you.
-
Poulin is a licensed electrical contractor and a certified Generac dealer. The generator, the transfer switch and the panel work are done by the same crew — no subcontractor handoffs.
-
Three factory-trained technicians and a dedicated Generac manager, installing and servicing units every day.
-
Annual maintenance and remote monitoring keep your generator ready — and keep your warranty valid.
-
ISO 9001 certified, CMEQ member, CCQ-registered: the same credentials behind our commercial work for nearly five decades.
How it works
Free home assessment (about 30 minutes). We check your electrical panel, walk the house with you, and talk through what you want running when the power goes out.
Written quote. Generator size, transfer switch, placement, gas or propane supply, permits — one price, no surprises.
Installation. Typically one day on site. Permits, pad, wiring, gas connection, startup and commissioning.
Monitoring and maintenance. We connect the unit to Mobile Link, enroll it in our monitoring, and set your first annual service.

Questions we hear every week
-
About as loud as a normal conversation from a few metres away. Most neighbours don't notice it running.
-
Either. If your street has natural gas, it never needs refilling. Otherwise we size a propane tank to your generator and your typical outage length.
-
It depends on what you want to keep running: furnace, well pump, sump pump, fridge — or the whole house. We size it during the free assessment, not over the phone.
-
Once a year, or after about 200 hours of running. Skipping it can void the warranty.
-
A home standby system is a real investment: the unit, the transfer switch, the installation and the gas connection. We give one written price after the assessment.
