How it works

  1. Free home assessment (about 30 minutes). We check your electrical panel, walk the house with you, and talk through what you want running when the power goes out.

  2. Written quote. Generator size, transfer switch, placement, gas or propane supply, permits — one price, no surprises.

  3. Installation. Typically one day on site. Permits, pad, wiring, gas connection, startup and commissioning. 

  4. Monitoring and maintenance. We connect the unit to Mobile Link, enroll it in our monitoring, and set your first annual service.

Questions we hear every week

  • About as loud as a normal conversation from a few metres away. Most neighbours don't notice it running.

  • Either. If your street has natural gas, it never needs refilling. Otherwise we size a propane tank to your generator and your typical outage length.

  • It depends on what you want to keep running: furnace, well pump, sump pump, fridge — or the whole house. We size it during the free assessment, not over the phone.

  • Once a year, or after about 200 hours of running. Skipping it can void the warranty.

  • A home standby system is a real investment: the unit, the transfer switch, the installation and the gas connection. We give one written price after the assessment.
